Sustainability is much more than environmental goals, we focus on all aspects of Sustainability with special high focus on Social and Governmental Sustainability in addition to the environmental and climate challenges.
To fulfill the goals within social and governmental sustainability you have to work systematically over decades and have the will to take the cost for this.
Project Sustainable Profile
Together with our quotation we also deliver a “Project Sustainability profile” , this describes all the sustainable benefits that the project will achieve by doing the project at Green Yard.
This document can be used towards the Stakeholders in the project in de decision phase.
After competition of the project, we will deliver a report showing the actual values in the project.
This framework provides a summary of, for example:
Steel usage, waste, and energy in CO₂ equivalents.
Reuse of components and planned recycling.
Sustainability values prognosis and alignment with Green Yard goals.

Goal 4.4 Increase Relevant Skills
Increase Relevant Skills for Employment and contribute to increase knowledge and quality of schools and universities.
We have apprentices and internship placements in our production. School classes and students frequently visit, and we also serve as mentors for master's students from the university.
Goal 8.8 Protect Labor Rights and Promote Safe Working Environments
We ensure the working environment and fair wages for employees, especially migrant workers, and women. General application tariff agreements for all employers both own and from sub-contractors.
We have a high HSEQ standard.

Goal 9.2 – Promote Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization
Upgrading vessels for green sectors.
Use local suppliers and prefabrication to reduce emissions and to grow local industry.
We work to improve framework conditions and increase competitiveness for our industry, to raise the industry's share of Norwegian GDP.
Goal 12.5 – Reduce Waste Generation
Up to 97% of recycled ship materials recycled.
Second-hand components introduced where possible in our projects.
Cooperation with other parties in the maritime industry to reduce their impact by trading of equipment and materials.
Strict routines for waste sorting at the yard
We also contribute to a pioneering project with up-cycling of steel, to make new products out of maritime steel without melting.
