Green Yard Feda has successfully delivered two vessel conversions for DOF — the Skandi Mover and the Skandi Mariner, both originally built for Maersk Supply Service.
Both vessels have been prepared for Canadian Rescue Class. In addition, Skandi Mover has been fitted with a Walk-to-Work gangway, extending the vessel's capability for safe personnel transfer to offshore installations.
The projects were carried out at Feda, where the yard's four service areas — mobilisation, conversion, fabrication and recycling — are built around short transit, competent planning, everything prefabricated, and fewer days off-hire.
For Green Yard, these deliveries carry an extra dimension. Skandi Mariner and Skandi Mover were originally delivered from Green Yard Kleven as hulls B383 and B384, part of the Salt 200 design series built in Ulsteinvik. Seeing both vessels alongside at a Green Yard facility again — this time for a new phase in their working life — is a reminder of what proven hulls can go on to do.
Build. Rebuild. Recycle.
Green Yard would like to thank DOF for the trust and for good cooperation throughout both projects.
