Green Yard has delivered the conversion project NG Explorer.

The ship was originally built as an offshore vessel. Then several years in aquaculture. Now, following major work at Green Yard Kleven, a  high capacity geophysical and light geotechnical vessel.

The scope included extended accommodation, upgraded technical systems, a moonpool, ROV LARS, HiPAP, an A-frame, and sponsons for improved stability.

Thank you to owner Next Geosolution for awarding this contract to Green Yard and for the close collaboration throughout the project.

Conversion gives existing vessels new capabilities and a new purpose instead of building from scratch, a practical example of how re-engineering and circular thinking deliver more sustainable solutions for shipbuilding.

Congratulations to everyone involved — including our main suppliers Nelton Design, Volti, Vestnes Ocean, SeaVent and Ulmatec, among many others.
