Green Yard expects a volume of up to 30,000 tonnes a year, primarily from the ship and project market. The company is based at Feda in Kvinesdal, and will process most of the metals indoors. By ensuring better control of production areas, we can ensure better processing of waste materials.

Norsk Gjenvinning Metall is one of the biggest processors of steel and metal waste in Norway. The company specialises in the processing and recycling of steel and metals from customers throughout Norway, concentrating on processing waste into raw materials. Norsk Gjenvinning Metall (NGM) is owned by Norsk Gjenvinning, the biggest waste specialist in Norway.

“We want to be the most environmentally-friendly alternative in the industry, which means that it’s important to be able to process waste indoors,” explains Green Yard’s Managing Director, Hans Jørgen Fedog. He stresses that the profile of NGM was important to the partnership: “I look forward to working closely with such a professional company as NGM. This is a partnership in which we both make a major contribution which will benefit both companies moving forward,” concludes Fedog.

NGM also state that the environmental profile of Green Yard was a major factor in entering into the new partnership.

“Green Yard’s environmental profile is a great match for NGM. What’s more, this is a forward-looking company, with a profile that is truly exciting for us. We look forward to working with them,” states Eirik Sørli, Head of Industrial and Project Sales at NGM

Both partners agreed on keeping the value of the agreement confidential, but confirm that it is considerable.

Green Yard specialises within the dismantling and demolition of ships and offshore equipment. The agreement came into effect on 01.03.2019
