Green Yard has signed an agreement with Solstad Offshore ASA for the purchase of seven vessels for recycling.
Another successful stay for Borgland Dolphin at Green yard is over. The rig is now on its way to its next drilling assignment in the Norwegian Sea.
Green Yard Group will take over further operations at Kleven Verft by agreement with the bankruptcy estate and the banks involved. The core competence is preserved and Green Yard Kleven will also in the future be one of Norway’s most renowned shipyards.
The yard was operational in 2018, and in 2019 the business area “Rig yard stay services” was established. One year later – in 2020 – Green Yard can take note of what could be a real breakthrough when it comes to this type of yard services.
Green Yard is the regional dealer for Nippon Gases Norge AS, supplying all types of industrial and commercial gases to customers. We also provide delivery and collection.
Green Yard has just taken possession of the Samskip Frost, with the objective of recycling. Green Yard is proud to have been chosen for the job in competition with foreign competition, and regards it as a breakthrough for our recycling business. The fact that shipping lines are now choosing our method rather than going to low-priced countries is a good indicator for the future!
Green Yard is in the process of completing the work on the largest assignment the yard has had to date – necessary maintenance on the rig Borgland Dolphin.
Green Yard expects a volume of up to 30,000 tonnes a year, primarily from the ship and project market. The company is based at Feda in Kvinesdal, and will process most of the metals indoors. By ensuring better control of production areas, we can ensure better processing of waste materials.
