Green Yard Group has acquired the Kvina Verft property
Since 2018, Green Yard has built a significant activity with environmentally friendly recycling of ships as well as lay-up and rig port operations at Kvina Verft, Feda. The company has now bought the shipyard property at Feda in Kvinesdal municipality.
The shipyard property has deep roots in the local community with a history that stretches back several decades. For Green Yard, the acquisition is an important milestone that gives the group even better development opportunities in the years to come. The acquisition takes place by taking over all the shares in Kvina Verft Eiendom AS.
“We are built on a willingness to work hard and a desire to constantly improve our methods and the result of our business. With full control over “our own house”, we have a better base for further developing the company’s business in the future, says Green Yard CEO Hans Jørgen Fedog.”
The property includes approx. 75 acres of regulated commercial property and includes, among other things, deep-water quays, shipyards, cranes, berths, all the necessary facilities for rig port operations and a well-developed infrastructure. The yard is also perfectly located for activities related to the southern part of the North Sea. With this acquisition, Green Yard Group now owns both properties at its shipyards in Ulsteinvik and Feda.
Not long ago, Green Yard announced the purchase of seven boats for recycling, of which three will be recycled at the yard at Feda, and four at Green Yard Kleven AS in Ulsteinvik.
“We have had a good and close collaboration with the Kongevold family as owners of the yard, since day one after the foundation of Green Yard in 2018. We are grateful for this good collaboration and will do our utmost to manage the property further in the years to come with new growth and activity, Fedog concludes.”
